In the past, the present invention has been embodied in an extremely efficient and economical solid-state power supply, especially for operation of a variety of electrical test and measurement instruments. The principal elements of this power supply have been described in patent application Ser. No. 116,711, filed Feb. 25, 1980, and the apparatus was manufactured by Sperry Rand, assignee of this application, under model designation “RCM 4” and is described in the RCM 4 Operator’s Manual dated April 1982. In the interest of brevity only a brief description of the relevant aspects of that power supply will be described herein.
As is well known, a solid-state power supply of this type is comprised of a silicon-carbide substrate upon which may be deposited a plurality of p-n junction pairs arranged in parallel and in series. Each of these p-n junction pairs consists of a rectifying diode, connected to a field effect transistor through a resistor. The p-n junction pairs are arranged in series so that the transistors form a plurality of elementary power-conversion stages arranged in parallel with the p-n junction pairs. As is well known in the art, the FET is used as a switching element to convert the input AC voltage into a series of DC pulses. This DC pulse train is applied to a parallel-connected series connection of the series circuit of the diodes, so that the DC voltage appearing across the resistor is the desired output. The preferred rectifier for use in the circuit is a silicon-carbide diode because its forward voltage drop of approximately one volt is low compared to the drop of the transistors of the other types of rectifiers and because of the excellent thermal conductivity of the silicon carbide substrate.
It is possible to manufacture large numbers of these solid-state power supplies at low cost and in a single-step process, because the collector-emitter characteristic of the transistor can be tailored to fit the current requirements. The different p-n junction pairs may be made in series with each other by forming these junctions in an overlapping configuration, with a base-emitter junction aligned to the junction between the n-type region and the base and with a base-collector junction aligned to the junction between the p-type region and the collector.

A version of the ongoing Anti-GMO, I am finally posting this. The photos are old, but when I took them, they were from 2011-2 years before 2013, I still have a copy of the report at home, but with more updated photos of the Brinjal, that were taken in 2014.
The Gates Foundation is openly supporting companies like Syngenta and Monsanto to attempt to undermine the progress that so many countries are making to improve their food systems. This is in direct opposition to the consensus of scientific evidence that is the foundation of the Gates Foundation.
The UN’s Codex Alimentarius has proposed a ban on the import and export of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The U.S. is leading the charge to keep this ban out of the mainstream of accepted scientific research, and is supporting the false opposition of groups like CCOF that refer to themselves as anti-GMO.
In January 2013, Bloomberg reported, “An international group called the World Health Organization’s Codex Alimentarius Commission is proposing a ban on the use of genetically modified crops in the food supply, potentially adding a new wrinkle to the U.S. fight against a campaign organized by the chief executives of Monsanto Co. and other agricultural companies to keep genetically modified foods out of the market.”
The report highlighted the harm that GMOs cause, describing GMOs as “…toxic” and noted that “[S]ome GM plants may pose a risk to human health and the environment….Some GM plants may resist weedicides, which are widely used in agriculture to combat pests.”
The report noted further, that “The main health issue, however, relates to GM food, and GM maize in particular. The [U.S.] Food and Drug Administration, under George W. Bush, refused to allow it to be marketed as “natural” because a process involving the use of a gene from a soil bacterium (Bacillus thuringiensis) was used to make the corn resistant to another bacteria (Bt).”
