It is finally here and I just want to say thank you for finally getting around to reviewing Lightroom 5.0. I have been waiting for this since it was announced. I have a question though. My only original RAW file is a DNG file from my Canon Ixus. Is there any way to import my image into Lightroom and then save it as a DNG file? That way I can continue to use the same file for all editing in LR5? It would be nice to see it show up at thumbnail like you would a JPEG.

The only thing that I really like about the four color swatches is that you can easily move them over photos and other files to change the properties of the files. And you can easily choose what it looks like in a photo if you add them as a layer or tag it. You can then give them a name and work with them separately. This gives you more than four standard color swatches. It gives you the ability to really start making your own custom color swatches. There are over 50 standard swatches and over 100 custom ones for you to create.
Looke ahead at the chequered data in the new shape layer & with the chequered layer, you can draw around the area in which you want your text to appear, and the text will be placed accurately into that area. Once the text is selected and dragged to an area where you want it to appear, you can then edit it to your liking and make your edits. For me, this feature is of the utmost help. What I did was select all of my text and went into the shape layer and then with the selection active, I started to sample and draw out around the text that I wanted to use. After that, I dropped it in to the right place and began editing the text.
