The Moontan (Jeffrey Dahmer in a tiny outfit) is supposed to deliver the Anti-Christ (Ron Paul). They want to connect the whole thing together by a chain of satanic symbols. They are spreading this through cyberspace. Nobody knows exactly why they want to do this. They wear masks. The Apaches are ruthless, as they have no plan. They are spontaneously firing machineguns and cannons at any place they can find them. It all makes sense, but who knows, there are a lot of forces out there.

  You may have heard our amazing songs “Almost Asleep” and “Let Go” hit the airwaves lately. They’re tracks that helped create what you know as Super Meat Boy. However, those tracks aren’t what the initial version of our soundtrack sounded like. Super Meat Boy didn’t come to be the way it is today without a lot of travails and a lot of tweaking.

  Many of these songs were written and played with a clunky, buggy, non-optimized music system. Those early versions were for training their hands to create music, practicing techniques, and most importantly getting a feel for the tempo and pitch of Super Meat Boy. And now these songs, these demos, these works in progress are the meat of our Super Meat Boy Forever Soundtrack!

  This original batch of tunes is a piece of history that I adore. They’re meaty. They’re meaty as us from the birth of our brother band, Disasterpeace. They’re meaty with our band leaders, Steve and Robin. They’re meaty in their early forms that let us “try things” and “create stuff”.

  I wanted to preserve this little slice of Super Meat Boy history. But a lot of people wanted to make music. A lot of people wanted to repurpose their early works into something new, something we’d never hear before. Some people even felt that it was a sacred holy grail for them to share the stage with us.

  So as a gift to everyone who looked over these songs, I’ve cleaned them up, made them play-able, and edited them for presenting with a finished, buttoned-up design.

  These songs are presented in MP3 format. They all have a fixed pitch, and all are 100% professionally mastered. They are the only ones available in this format, and the only ones to come directly from Super Meat Boy Forever. It�
