Sure, you can fine tune the noise removal in Photoshop while Lightroom focuses on noise removal such as little streaks and spots. Maybe the newer analysis tools can accomplish the same task, but I have not seen these features demonstrated. Whatever the case, both Adobe programs’ noise removal features are quite similar in outcome, but smarter in how they calculate and correct. While Lightroom uses an Intensity Threshold to calculate noise, Adobe Pro filters out noise from an RGB distribution of the digital file.

Sometimes we’ll use all three colors, sometimes just one, or even none. There are multiple ways to convert files and our first choice is the native color space because it’s the most familiar. However, if you do convert native files to a different color space, all of your files will have the same color baseline, which makes none of them easier to work with. For example, say you convert a file from grayscale to RGB. The file will now have a recognizable RGB baseline. Once your file has a recognizable baseline, there’s nothing to convert out of and you won’t see anything looking different.
