originally, there was a majora’s mask “story” element where you were given a specific time to save a princess. as the game is a complete world this wasn’t entirely unreasonable. but, there was also a snag. since the game didn’t have enough space for a story and level-building assets, the experience had to be short and any attempt to build in longer sequences usually ended up half-baked and poor. the recent release of the zero time dilemma ps4 version and increased memory capacity for 3ds games has cured the worst of this.
