The hellfrost setting is a pre-civilization. It includes runes and an alphabet, but a civilization has not been formed. The people of Hellfrost have a very different society than the average high fantasy setting, where peasants work the land and the powerful are the aristocracy.
Hellfrost is a bloodied land with a long, bloody history. The Dark Elves were the first and most powerful race of Hellfrost and the blood of their people adorns the landscape. Since the time when the Chaos Gods were awakened they have continued to fight among themselves and bleed this land with war.
Hellfrost has many different races, but the greatest power is the dark elves. Many of the hellfrost tribes were enslaved by the dark elves, only to be turned into their conquering armies. There are two races of men who serve as Hellfrost’s warrior caste, the brutal Borrs, and the cunning Foxs. The Foxs are half-men and half-kobolds, and the Borrs are men who have been transformed by the blood of the dark elves.
