Upon release, Drake has been sending teasers in the vein of the 2012 album Thank Me Later. The first of these teasers was a short clip of Drake’s second studio album debuting on Viceland and Drake’s recent description of the album.

Finally, in late November, Drake posted on his Tumblr he had finally finished the album, following in the same vein of his usual style: dark and brooding. According to Drake’s sources, Nothing Was The Same is released on September 24.
That’s no exaggeration – the album is scheduled to hit stores on September 24 and will be available in CD, ““Pound” [LPs] and “Digi” [LPs] formats. The vinyl LP version will come with an autographed brick, while the CD and “Digi” editions will come with a signed poster. All three are being released exclusively at Best Buy stores.
And for music fans already in Toronto, Drake is opening his own recording studio with partner and DJ Noah Shebib in the Toronto-area village of Mirvish Village. Drake is also opening the practice facility to budding producers, performers and crew to work on their own projects.
