Layers
The canvas of the Photoshop image is called the Layer. It’s where you build all of your work and place all of the elements that you plan to use.

By default, a new layer is placed in the top layer. Selecting a layer activates it, and you can move and copy layers just like other objects on the canvas.
You can also create extra nested layers. You can create a layer in the second layer from the top, for example, and then create a third layer in this second layer. You can further nest additional layers or create new layers within layers. You can also create multiple layers in the same layer.
Quick Mask
If you plan to make changes to the pixels of the original image, you need to use the Quick Mask option (see Figure 12-1). With this option selected, you select any pixels that you want to have changes in the masked layer. When you click again on these pixels, they change color, which means that you can see the color of the object that you selected. To remove a Quick Mask, simply deselect the pixels that you selected.

Although the condition was known since antiquity in Greece, Rome and the Mediterranean, interest in tooth wear increased during the Renaissance in Europe. It also rose during the late 18th Century in North America and particularly during the mid-19th Century in the UK. Our research project is one of two funded by the Leverhulme Trust which aims to investigate the social, economic and cultural underpinnings of tooth wear in the 19th and early 20th Century.
The data already received by the project consists of 2,000 photographs, which illustrate the range of injuries and conditions affecting the teeth of individuals throughout North America and Europe. This project demonstrates a great commitment to research in the field of Early Modern Dentistry, in which the nineteenth century record is only just being accessed. We are thankful for the support of the University of Leeds.

I’m working on a simple browser extension and I’d like to add a context menu to an iframe in IE.
The document.ready() part of my script works fine but I also need to add a custom menu. I can add a context menu but then I can’t see my script getting called.
So my question is how can I add a context menu in IE? What is my other option for a browser extension?

As a temporary workaround, I had to attach a click handler to the iframe to call the context menu.
This isn’t the best solution, but it works.
Crossing The Line, Part II
In the last post I mentioned that I didn’t consider myself to be a type A personality and that I struggle with Type B personality in regards to success in certain aspects of my life. Today I’m going to share more about my experience and how I cross the line with Type B behavior in regards to things like success.
It’s funny how our brains work. I think in most instances, I’m a Type A and a Type B at the same time. I think it happens because of how I was raised. My mother was the classic Type B and my dad was the classic Type A (he’s a successful Type B). If my father were to call me lazy, he’d be right, and that’s because he is right. But, if my mother called me lazy, she’d be lying and I’d be able to read her because I can read my mother.
But that’s not the point here.
I do consider myself to be a type A personality.
