It was not for any specific reason I selected this model. I just needed one to work and it worked with the Ip4700 model without any troubles. Some of the things in this video may not work for the specific printer model.
I have a canon pixma iP4700 that I can’t seem to get into service mode. I’ve tried some of the things that were suggested on here and they didn’t work. Most of them did not even work with the ip4700 model. I’m at a loss right now and can’t figure it out.
How can I access the On Screen Display screen for my Pixma iP4700 that is in Service Mode? I have Canon IX6800 printer which I use for photo printing and occasionally can’t select photos for printing. Only the On Screen Display screen will appear. I tried scanning documents and the printer doesn’t accept them as a valid scan. I can only access the keyboard which is useless. I need to access the On Screen Display for the pictures on the printer.
1) I had my husband get the Canon printer and the software. 2) He printed out the manual for the driver and the model number and everything. (still don’t know where the model number is). 3) He re-started the computer and printed it out again and it was just a blank page. 4) He restarted the computer again and the data started printing itself on the paper. It says Plug and Play hardware found and Windows can see it – but nothing is printing. HELP!
