Clip a canvas to a div

I have a canvas that I am using as a watermark to the end user’s content.
The problem is that once I put in place the watermark, the image stays fixed in place.
I would like it to be able to resize with the window/page (the height of the image and the width are known).
The only thing I can think of is to find where the end user’s content is and have the canvas position itself based on that content, I’m not sure if this will work.
I’ve not seen anything like this before.

You could look into canvas projection. The problem with the canvas solution is that when you add a new content, it does not know that it’s needed. You would have to make sure that the new content is added BEFORE the image. You could probably use jQuery to set the position of the image based on a document.getElementByID and set the position of the watermark with.css(‘position’)
