There are 3 specific aims: In Aim 1 we will test the hypothesis that tumor peptides that specifically target paclitaxel and tamoxifen will be more effective and less toxic than standard paclitaxel and tamoxifen therapy in metastatic and recurrent breast cancer. We will establish conditions to identify and select best performing tumor peptides. In Aim 2 we will test the hypothesis that combination therapy with paclitaxel/tamoxifen and tumor peptides will be more effective and less toxic than standard paclitaxel/tamoxifen therapy. In Aim 3 we will conduct preclinical efficacy studies in nude mice bearing metastatic breast cancer to select the best tumor peptide that can cross the blood brain barrier.
