Software, Download & Fountations:
The one thing that’s the same in all versions is that Photoshop is an Adobe software.
In Adobe Photoshop Elements:
You can download it for free (See detailed link on this page) using the Google Chrome browser. You can either download the regular version or the student version which comes with limited features. In both cases, you can install it on Windows, Mac and Linux systems and it runs on either 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.
After you download the software, the first thing you have to do is to create a new account either with Adobe or other user account which you will use it. On the Windows version, you can connect it to your Microsoft account.
Other Features:
In Photoshop Elements, you can import and save images from other graphics editing software (like Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer or any other photo editor) in.psd format as well as PDF, GIF and JPEG formats. You can also import your images in the original Photoshop files (.psd) as well as exchange files between the Photoshop elements and Photoshop. And because it’s an offline desktop app, you don’t have to be connected to a computer when you use it.
Quick Menu:
You can either assign your shortcut keys as a default in the options from the Menu bar or you can always access it right from anywhere using the Quick menu:
Photoshop elements can edit both RGB and black & white images as well as color images and sketches. You can split and cut different areas of an image or even merge them together to get the perfect results:

Bitmap Brushes:
Each of the Photoshop brushes is a PNG file. The brushes appear like this in the Brush/Pen/Brush Drop-down menus:
Brush Picker:
You can use the brush picker to select a brush in your brush libraries. These brush libraries are organized in a hierarchy and you can access brushes from the hierarchy. You can also select multiple brushes and combine them to create new brushes and then save them.
Brush Picker Options :
You can select a brush by its value and make it active. If you hold down the CONTROL key and click on the background you can copy the brush to the clipboard for use in other applications.
Selecting Brushes
You can select a brush from the different brush libraries or by its name. To select a brush you first choose the Type of brush that you want to use from the Brush Type menu. For example, if you want to use a dry brush you select Brush Type in the type of the brush. Select the brush that you want to use and the Control Panel appears to give you access to a dialog box with additional options. You can select how to use the brush, such as Opacity, Size, Spacing, and Halftone. You can also choose the size of the brush according to its value. You can also change the size of the brush by typing a value in the Size box or using the +/- icons. If you hold down the SHIFT key and click on the background you can copy the brush to the clipboard for use in other applications. You can also select individual brush settings, such as where the brush will appear on the screen. To adjust the settings, use the arrow buttons below the Size box.
The Toolbox:
Click on the gray Tools box at the top of the window to bring up the Toolbox, which holds all of your brush and pen tools. You can access this box by clicking on the red square at the top of the window. The box appears and you can drag the brush and pen tools inside. You can also drag individual brushes and pens out of the box. The Tools box will be on the left side of the window. To use a brush or pen tool, first click on the area of the image that you want to paint with the tool. Then click on the tool in the Tools box or drag it over the image.

The influence of normal grey matter atrophy on hippocampal volume in AD.
The hippocampus is clearly affected in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and the atrophy is considered to be a diagnostic marker. However, the association between hippocampal atrophy and normal ageing is still unknown. We investigated normal age-related hippocampal atrophy and its relation to the entire cortex and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) volume in a group of elderly healthy subjects. Magnetic resonance images of 73 healthy right-handed volunteers (mean age 67.4+/-7.4 years, range 50-79 years) were analysed using a voxel-based method. The medial, lateral and posterior part of the hippocampus was selected as a region of interest and normalized on an analysis of variance (ANOVA) for group comparison. The whole brain cortical (left + right)/(left + right + posterior + anterior) volume was determined as a covariate. The ANOVA analysis showed a significant age related atrophy rate for the right hippocampal volume. Furthermore, the total grey matter volume of the whole brain as well as the CSF volume were positively correlated to the left + right hippocampal volume. No correlation with the volume of the individual subfields of the hippocampus was found. However, the posterior hippocampal subfield showed a positive correlation with the total grey matter volume in this group. The age-related atrophy rate for the right hippocampal subfield as well as the total grey matter volume was negatively correlated with the CSF volume. The present data showed that the presence of normal age-related normal grey matter atrophy is associated with a reduced volume of the entire hippocampus. The present findings indicate that normal age-related atrophy of the whole grey matter is related to a relative enlargement of the right hippocampus.Study of the ligand-induced conformational change in the MHC molecules.
We have studied the conformational changes in rat Ia (RT1a) and H-2Kb molecules during ligand-induced dissociation in fluorescence experiments.
