I have a question. When you use the dimension tool to make changes to the “width” or “height” of an image, why does my image name show up as “3”? The original file name is still clearly visible:”.MimiSmith.jpg”.
It is much more convenient to have the dimensions shown next to the image, especially when you can edit the metrics in the histogram box. Obviously if you don’t have the original file name or label, then it’s not possible to be used with a widget. For example, I copy an image to my desktop and rename it, something I often do when I am working on the same image at different locations. If I run the dimension tool on the copied image as a source image, I have no way of referring to the original file name as I am working on the copy. The only way I can do so is to use the original file name. But the original file name doesn’t appear in the histogram or other boxes, so it is no longer useful.
Also, when I try to edit the original file name in the Text tool, it won’t allow it. It is possible to right click the current text and change the name, but that’s too time consuming. A little less attention to this function would be appreciated
