Spaceman Sparkles 2 (also known as Galaxy Dance in Europe and Trademeza 2 for the Brazilian market) is a space shooter arcade game developed by Taito in 1989, as a sequel to their previous hit Spaceman

Gameplay
Gameplay in Spaceman Sparkles 2 is reminiscent of Taito’s 1980s shooter Space Wars, in which you pick up weapons (and later on shields, missiles) by shooting at enemy spaceships. Weapons and shields shot simultaneously will give you a larger than normal score. A Space Black Hole will be shot when your health gets too low, automatically causing you to lose a life. However, you do not need health items to survive this.

The game can be played on one of five different game modes:
1. All In (a mode where you must survive against all attacks)
2. Wave Attack (a mode where you must survive against all the enemy weapons, except for the Black Holes).
3. Survival (a mode where you must survive an unlimited number of Black Holes, but can use only shield or two weapon types (rockets or lasers).
4. Time Attack (a mode where you must shoot down an unlimited number of black holes before the clock reaches zero. You can choose between time ranging from 40 seconds to 8 minutes.
5. Flight Assault Mode (a mode where you must survive against all the enemy weapons, including the Black Hole attacks. You can only use rockets or lasers, but you are rewarded with health when you shoot at black holes.
You start each game with five weapons, all of which have a specific use, and the number of weapons depends on the difficulty level (in each of the previous modes)
There are five primary weapons in the game, with five upgrades for each weapon. An extra weapon will be added for each level the game is played.
Rockets – Rockets that can be shot at either the center or the sides of the screen.
Lasers – Lasers are shot at straight lines in the center of the screen; scoring is not as good as with Rockets.
Missiles – Missiles fly in straights and squares across the screen, scoring points based on how far you can go before crashing into a spaceship, enemy or something else on the ground.
