The Sinchron application was designed to be a simple GDI+ screensaver, written in C# (.NET 3.5) that displays the time in the form of sine waves.

Faster Processes

An extra process was created to speed up the SinchronApplication process. A timer tick every 30 seconds was added to the Sinchron application. If a process exists for more than 300 seconds, Sinchron ends that process (Not always happens) and loops to the next process in the queue.

Sinchron gives you the option to set the speed at which processes are cleared from the queue.

Higher Performance

Not all computers are created equal. This application is very CPU-heavy. Sinchron checks the active processes every 300 seconds.

Update from Sinchron v3.0 to Sinchron v4.0

Sinchron v4.0 completely redone the code and features. The source has been updated and the new release is ready.

Sinchron v4.0 comes with many new features and bug fixes, plus some important changes from the previous version, Sinchron v3.0.

How often have you had the urge to do just that, to go back to the beginning of a program or game? Not just to play it again, but really, to rewind it? Can you?

Sinchron brings you some peace of mind. Whenever you wish to rewind, you can, with a few clicks, and press a button, and watch the “current” time turn into the “original” time. The resolution is pretty good, at least for the amateurs. No “background” at all.

In short, I write a program, and give it to someone else, then watch them work out the bugs. But they never get it right. So I email it to you and get back to the business of my real life.

If the program ever gets good, I do my thing again.

You “start” Sinchron by loading the default screen saver.

If you wish, you can “delete” Sinchron, or replace it with your own choice of program. Once you do that, you can then “start” Sinchron and “activate” it. (Sinchron runs as its own screen saver, and all you have to do is click its “icon” or “start” the program.

A sine wave is typically represented by a graph of a continuous sine curve on a computer display screen. The curve’s sine waves appear on a screen graphically, resembling a sinusoidal waveform and occupying a portion of the screen. A sine wave is a particular case of a general mathematical function (a mathematical function can be a continuous curve, or a discrete function that returns a certain value for each of a finite number of inputs).

Notes:

I have no real idea how this screensaver works. It uses periodic signals to display the time.

A periodic signal is a digital signal that repeats the same pattern every time it is sent. It is used in communication and other electronic devices.

A lot of programming was used to make this screensaver work.

*Added completely new graphics engine based on the XNA framework, and the interface was redesigned from scratch

*Updated from scratch the way the screensaver is managed, and some settings were improved

*The last version of the screensaver can now start on Windows 7 computers!

*The application can now be compiled for XNA framework, allowing it to run on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

*The CPU usage is much lower now, thanks to the graphics engine change
