I am working on an API that relies heavily on authentication. I am using ASP.NET’s ASP.NET Identity Framework for authentication, and I want to be able to pass the authentication token through to the View in order for certain logic to be applied. I don’t know how to get the information I need; Session is a scoped object and I don’t think I can get to it from a child View.
The context for this is a generic Login/Register page that the user can navigate to multiple times over a period of time. I am setting the session key in the Login action method, and I need to be able to access it from multiple child Views.
This would be rather easy if I could set a constant in the global.asax file to hold the key, and then reference that constant throughout the app, but I feel like there should be a better way than that.

This scenario comes with a lot of problems, both in terms of abuse and in terms of maintainability of the code.
You should probably want to think about having multiple Single-User Accounts, i.e. accounts that users can request and access through the website, without any possibility for multiple users to take over the same account.
