When you first boot up the game it will say “Load profile 0” Load profile 0? What is that supposed to mean? Well, it’s just a simple vanity title for my profile. Nothing more, nothing less.

I expect nothing less from you, Professor Crackbrain. I expect you to be my right hand man. I expect you to think up crazy ideas that I cannot seem to think up myself. I expect you to prove me wrong! I expect you to do exactly what I ask of you!
Yes, I’m your God. Yes, I’m the one and only true Professor Crackbrain. I’m Professor Crackbrain. I’m Professor Crackbrain. Do you understand me? I’m Professor Crackbrain. That’s my name. That’s what I do. That’s who I am. I’m Professor Crackbrain. Do you understand me? I’m Professor Crackbrain.

For the creation of this retro-style game I used three official ZZT building-blocks:
– The Voyage
– The BSP Cube Editor
– The ZZT Game Archive
And a fine and select list of free software:
– Stellarium
– Retroshare
– Tiled and Paper Mario Map Editor
I hope that you enjoy this game. Have fun and don’t let anyone tell you what to do.

And, for those of you who don’t follow Professor Crackbrain on twitter, here is his reaction to level 1.3 being released:

How do you fit forty levels into one fifty-three minute game? Maybe it would be best for me to describe the gameplay and give some example strategy tips.

Firstly, the game is a traditional retro-style platformer. You control the Cpt. Quackers spaceship and try to defeat the evil geese (and other enemies). Remember, gravity is different on each level and there are a few different types of level mechanics. Level 1.1 is a top-down level where you have a solid platform on which you must jump to the other side. If you fall, you’ll be left to wall-run and slide down. Your objective is to kill all of the ge

    • Bring soda to the beach
    • Drink soda in the mountains
    • Drink soda on a boat
    • Drink soda in the desert
    • Drink soda in space
    • Drink soda underwater

    MOD OPTIONS:
    • Soda Drinker Pro comes with a built in wizard! Use it to change the terrain, location, time of day, mood, and randomise selected objects!
    • You can also manually edit the save game file, and easily add/remove.rdl files to create save games.
    • Please don’t forget to rate and review the game. More reviews and ratings = more exposure = more likely to reach more users!

    How it works:
    • Soda Drinker Pro works in real time. As you are drinking a soda, your actions are actually happening in the game world. The in game soda dispenser will be programmed to calculate the amount of soda you just drank and will now make a soda that is equal to that amount.
    • Chilling the soda takes a little bit of time, and it starts to get cold when the soda is over 6 months old (we assume!)
    • Each soda is made from your choices and actions during the day. You can choose how cold the soda is. Your choices and actions can affect how quickly the soda cools down.
    • The soda will fade out as the day progresses. This is why you can go to the beach and still drink a soda underwater.
