the elder scrolls iv: oblivion has an opening cinematic that plays when you start the game and again when you leave a city. however, if you load the game without the cd in the drive and access the city as a new game, the game does not play the cinematic, which adds to the feeling that you are exploring an entirely new land. oblivion also felt a bit dated, so tes v: skyrim has you exploring a land that feels much more modern. the graphics are particularly impressive, with lush forests, flowing water, and mountains unlike any in morrowind, and the sheer number of npcs has been drastically cut down, making the world feel much less crowded. oblivion had a limited number of crafting skills, which is something skyrim also lacks, and the fact that no game lets you change your name makes things even less generic.
there are tons of little tweaks here and there that make the game feel more like a long-awaited expansion than a game completely reinvented. for instance, all your character’s skills are now stored in their own skill pages instead of a massive overview, making the game much less overwhelming. the leveling system also lets you skip a few skill points at a time, which makes it much easier to unlock new abilities. along with the usual inventory space, skyrim has an extremely generous amount of storage space. there are no cities in this game, just towns where you can collect potions, new weapons, and armor. bethesda has also added an ancient race, elves, to the story, and you can play as any of the 8 major races.
skyrim ultimate. legendary epic edition. or skyrim legendary modded. call it what you like, its an all-encompassing skyrim mod that enhances the original game to its limits. over 9000 files and counting, skyrim legendary modded is probably the most customisable mods pack youll ever come across. you can add a new race, completely redo the game, or add a new game mode. its massive and in places, looks pretty messed up. there are 20 new mods here and dozens more on the files page.
