Pimsleur French Transcript
In my opinion the Pimsleur French & Russian set is the best one to start with. I don’t think you will find a better language program in that price range. For the price, you get quality content with a 640 Mb program. You can also do the Pimsleur courses in a different audio format (MP3). Personally I suggest doing it in MP3 format. Custom download speed.
I have tried a number of language programs and have been satisfied with the language instruction provided by most. However, there are a number of programs that are better than the others.
I enjoyed this course, I felt it was easy to follow and useful. We learned how it works & how to speak with the help of teachers, and we listened to records with explanations. I thought the lessons were very good & since the course included pictures it was a lot less boring than text only. This course doesn’t have a user guide but we did get some help from the teacher in the introduction lesson. The teacher help & course materials were easy to understand. I feel the lesson are small but they’re enough & the audio lessons are very helpful.
There are a lot of things to learn about a language. This is about how to speak. In my opinion, most people spend too much time on grammar. I would rather focus on how to speak. That is what I feel is the most important.
The courses were not too bad. It was easy to follow. I’d suggest that people should start with the beginner course first. I watched the introduction segments several times. I liked how it walks you through everything you need to know. I’d recommend the Pimsleur Audio, although I’m not sure if it would be the best way to learn a language. I’m really wondering how useful it is for someone who learns from a book just to be able to speak and be understood.
