In 2010, Autodesk introduced AutoCAD Architecture (formerly AutoCAD LT Architecture) for the Macintosh platform, the first version designed for architects and engineers.

In 2014, Autodesk released AutoCAD LT 2014 for the Macintosh platform, bringing new features and improvements to AutoCAD LT, including a modified user interface.

In 2017, Autodesk introduced a new AutoCAD app for mobile devices.

With the introduction of AutoCAD Architecture 2014, AutoCAD became the primary 3D-modeling application for architects and engineers. As a result, AutoCAD Architecture became the first AutoCAD app to get updates over the air (OTA).
