Now that are very serious on getting this show up as soon as possible, I thought I’d just report on a few of the eventful days since the beginning of January. Naturally, the machine’s been feeling a bit off the past couple of days. The good news is it seems to be resolving itself now.

Remember that corona virus emergency postage system I’d told you about? Well, I took the machine to them yesterday to see what they’d come up with. Turns out, it’s a system they’re thinking of rolling out across the country, so I guess to protect its clients, I’ll have to sign up for it – how high-tech!!

Meanwhile, many of you have been posting messages asking that the show should continue. But we’ve seen on Facebook that many new people haven’t used the site yet and don’t know what’s happened yet. So to be on the safe side, I’ve been discussing with Platform officials how we could continue the show, safely, when I get back from me France trip.

The study also raises the critical issue of how to maintain the creative spark when all members of the team must be paid by someone else. We’re having several meetings with pub landlords at the moment and one is a former teacher from Bristol. He certainly knows the issue of Victorian era teachers, giving regular reports on how students respond to them (or don’t!). His own father (who’s long since retired) made a similar study of this when he was teaching and he’s got some good ideas about how it can be done in a pub.

As for how it could be done more safely, well, I’m still not sold on going to safe zones yet. It’s true I’ve “missed” this show by going to France, but we’ve been on a good roll since I came back in December. And hopefully, there’ll be a big record-breaking I.R.S. tax refund at the end of it all.
